Post-doctorate (R2)

The post-doctoral position corresponds to a key stage in a researcher’s career (R2 level). After obtaining the doctorate, this period allows you to consolidate your scientific expertise, expand your network of collaborations, strengthen your autonomy and develop a research profile likely to lead to a lasting academic or scientific career.

In order to support this development and encourage scientific excellence, the FNRS and its associated funds offer several postdoctoral funding instruments. These take the form of mandates and grants awarded on the basis of scientific evaluations, within the framework of specific calls (Grants & Fellowships, Télévie, etc.).
