Wernaers Fund for Research and Knowledge Dissemination
At the initiative of the late Mr. Gustave Christin WERNAERS, the WERNAERS International Fund for research and the dissemination of knowledge was created within the Scientific Research Fund - FNRS.
The WERNAERS Fund supports actions to promote research and disseminate scientific knowledge.
This Fund has 3 instruments to achieve its objectives
- A specialization scholarship in Scientific Communication and Popularization (every 2 years => no grant in 2026) - Regulations.
- Wernaers Prize for popularizing science - Regulations, Form.
- Subsidies to media contributing to the development of interest in scientific culture - Regulations, Form.
Fund Advisory Board
The Advisory Council constitutes an advisory body relating to the selection of all actions to be supported by the Wernaers Fund.
It studies the application files submitted and makes reasoned proposals to the Fund Management Committee.
