Long-term sustainable financing of successive recurring projects for a maximum period of 4 years.

Scope of the IISN:

  • study of fundamental interactions and their possible unification through observation, experimentation, phenomenological and theoretical studies, including cosmological aspects.
  • Properties of atomic and subatomic bonded systems.
  • Experimental and study instruments include, for example, particle accelerators, particle traps, cosmic ray and neutrino detectors, etc.
  • This list is not exhaustive, but does not include approaches relating to astronomy (radio, IR, visible, UV telescopes, etc.).
  • Research and development on the technologies necessary for the experimental and observation programs carried out as part of these studies.

As part of IISN funding, eligible costs are of 3 types: operation, equipment and personnel.
