Organization of a scientific meeting

A researcher who wishes to organize a conference allowing scientific dissemination can request compensation from the F.R.S.-FNRS to cover costs related to the physical organization of the conference, interpreting and secretarial costs and travel and accommodation costs for foreign speakers.

Financing description

  • Persons concerned:  The spokesperson for the planned congress must be either a permanent researcher of the F.R.S.-FNRS, or a researcher appointed on a permanent basis or benefiting from a probationary position (equated to a permanent appointment), active within an FWB university. The organizing committee will necessarily include professors active in at least two universities of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
  • Object:  Facilitate the organization of interuniversity conferences of a clearly scientific nature. The researcher may receive financial assistance to organize the conference.
  • Procedure:  Submit the request four months before the opening date of the planned congress using the form available online on the e-space platform, accessible at the address https://e-space.frs-fnrs.be.
